How you can save a life
 Nearly 33% of infants born with a Congenital Heart Defect develop life-threatening symptoms within the first few days of life. The infant mortality rate in these cases can be as high as 90 percent.
Every dollar counts. With more funding, researchers will be able to progress in their mission to find causes of and effective treatments for, congenital heart defects. With your help we can significantly reduce the number of deaths caused by congenital heart defects.
Toys for Nicholas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We operate by volunteer participation, which means approximately 90% of every dollar you give is designated for research, education and awareness projects which focus solely on congenital heart defects. All of our fundraising events are budgeted by sponsorships from area businesses and people like you.

Toys for Nicholas also raises funding for pediatric cardiology research, education and awareness projects which focus on congenital heart disease.
With more research, the cause of some heart defects may be identified and this can lead to a preventative treatment. Also, effective treatments may be found and babies born with heart defects will be able to lead normal healthy lives.
Through funding, researchers will move forward, and we can dream of the day when no parent will have to helplessly watch their baby suffer and possibly die.

Contributions can be made at any Fifth Third Bank location.
Receipts can not be issued for donations deposited at Fifth Third Bank locations. Please use your cancelled checks for tax purposes.
Please notify us if your donation is in memory of or in tribute to someone you know, who has fought a battle with congenital heart defects. We will mail a card, acknowledging your honorary donation.
A receipt for tax purposes will be mailed upon request.
